Ok. I read the blog.

He's not playing 4 years. You have to be dumb, naive or a troll to write this.

I can see why everyone says you need to quit blogging.

Dumb is right. Duff is a poopty writer who should get the Pulitzer in copy and paste.

For the love of (frank)ing god. Give us Cordell, Eklund.

Bob is a treasured member of this website. His blogs have just as much merit as Eklund's rumors. You can't even count how many fans he has here*.

Bob Duff: Zetterberg doesn't rule out playing out his contract

Ya Zetterberg has stated he won't play out his contract to multiple media outlets, and I don't blame him. Front loaded contract means he's playing for nothing his final two seasons (Something like 1.1M per season in his last two seasons). And not to offend any wings fans but realistically, the wings aren't going to the playoffs these next few years unless major changes are made. All they have going to them at this point is Mike Green, who will be huge trade bait. Snag as many prospects/picks as possible. Otherwise teams like the devils have a major surplus of young offensive talent. maybe other defensemen would be on the trading block. Something has to give, as the team is expected to be a bottom 5 team, top of the cap, and top of the average age. They'd better realize that they are sellers and start the rebuild.

The team he is a fan of is irrelevant. What was bad about the post was the fact that is was a long winded comment with obviously known info.

Yes it does but that doesn't mean he can't have an opinion about another team. Don't be a douche.

Yikes. you guys really jumped on that. Just pointing out the facts. Devils absolutely are not a contender. That being said, their prospect pool is stocked (minus any quality D-men), and they have a ton of cap space. On top of that I believe they will out-produce the wings in a very weak competition that results in both teams relying on the lottery. Didn't know there were so many disgruntled fans on the page. Rebuilds are exciting, but your GM better make some trades to shed cap space if you want to keep the only young talent around. Larkin will be looking for a 6-7 Million dollar raise after this season, AA is good as gone, and Mantha will be looking for some coin as well. All the best to your team, but somethings gotta give.

Larkin isn't looking at anything close to 6-7 million, if he and Mantha have stellar seasons they still won't take up the cap we're shedding in the off-season. Unless they're both 70 point players, but the chances of that are about the same as us winning the division. AA isn't as good as gone, he and his agent have picked up talks with KH again, as tweeted by Helene St. James today. Looks like his bluff was called.
You're preaching to the choir about rebuilds, no one wants KH out and the team to be gut of these contracts more than us.

Your vast knowledge of the Detroit Red Wings is quite impressive.
